Managing Stress
Updated: Jan 30, 2021
Hello everyone, Dipeeta here! I hope you are all keeping safe and healthy. I was supposed to write an article on anxiety for this edition; however, I could not do so due to some issues at my end. I’ll definitely post an article on anxiety very soon! For today’s edition, I would like to highlight a few important points about managing stress (especially for those who are taking online classes).
Limit your screen time/ social media activities- I have found this extremely useful personally. This decision has helped me to use my free time to try out new activities which I had not done before.
Exercise- Aim to find adequate time to exercise. This will help you to manage stress effectively. You may want to listen to music while exercising. This is quite effective, speaking on a personal level. I do Yoga everyday.
Read books- You can read biographies and autobiographies to take inspiration from them. You can read books from other genres also. Finish reading all those unfinished books!
Stay positive- During tough times, staying calm and positive is very important. You can reach out to someone whom you trust and talk to them about your situation. They can advise you, depending on your situation. I pen down my thoughts in a small diary as it helps me to feel better. You can do the same!
Additionally, I play tennis and guitar, make artistic pieces and dance when I feel stressed. I divide my schedule carefully so that I am not overwhelmed by work. These are only a few important steps which I follow in my life.
Thanks so very much for reading my blog! Take care:)
