A poem by Aishwarya Raviganesh

Blue hair,

and hazel eyes.

Glowing skin,

and sunset lips.

She was the definition of color.

You'd never look at her and think,

that her thoughts were streaming in gray.

Her eyes light up as she throws her head back,

and laughs at something someone said.

You watch her,

as she waves out to another crowd.

You wonder how she does it,

as she talks and laughs some more.

It all seems so genuine.

You'd never look at her and think,

that she was living a lie.

As she's leaving,

she smiles at you and you smile back.

You're about to turn away,

when you see the shadow of something dark in her eyes.

She quickly turns,

and walks away.

She'd never want you to think,

that she had something to hide.
