Accepting Love!

Introduction - This is a piece about accepting the love you receive and idealizing it even though it's not really enough at all.

It was never really enough,

But it was all I'd ever wanted.

Every morning that you made a fuss,

Then left a post-it on my lunchbox.

An "i love you" I can't erase,

It was never really enough,

But I loved it anyway.

I never had to ask for more,

Only beg for less.

I liked being your baby,

Just not your biggest weakness.

Everytime you break,

I wish we had never started.

It was never really enough,

But it was all I'd ever wanted.

The World could never get to me,

Not in the way you do.

It was never really enough,

But it was what I needed.

It was never really enough,

But it was what we had.
